Bhajan Night 2015

REPORT (Photos)
Bhajan Night with Samjibhai 'Bhagat' Hirani was a very enjoyable evening for those attending, who were able to cast aside their worries, joys and concerns for a few short but precious hours to open their minds to messages all around us. With song, Bhagat reminded us all about our humanity and reflected to us how we think of ourselves and how we treat others, and with a beautiful musical accompaniment those words sang to our souls, revealed their truth and gently reminded us all to change for the better, one day at a time.

Gathiya, mircha and properly brewed masala chai was served mid-way through the evening, which on a cool night provided warmth and great comfort. Highly delectable and very popular too was an accompanying sweet dish, a home-made sandwich barfi that some couldn't resist and others wanted to know more about. On this and for those who are interested, I hope to publish a short article on the website as soon as all the details are to hand.

Bhagat's stay in Perth has been wonderful and even if too long by his own admission, it's clearly not been long enough as far as everyone else was concerned! Regardless, the Executive Committee would like to extend their sincere thanks to Bhagat, the backing singers, musicians and sound engineers for putting on this event for Samaj.
